Migrate Test Infrastructure to AWS with Cascadeo

Good morning and thank you for joining us today. My name is Vadim Astakhov. I’m a solution architect from Amazon Web Services. And the topic today is how national transportation providers can migrate mission -critical test infrastructure to AWS with AWS system integrated partner Cascadeo.

And when we start talking about migration to the cloud, the first obvious question is why do we want to run Windows workload in AWS? And I’d like to stress out that AWS has helped a customer to move Windows workload to the cloud since 2008.

So we have more than nine years experience and listen to the customer. We know that migration to AWS led them to reduce the burden to the IT staff. AWS let customer quickly spin up resources as they need them, deploy hundreds or even thousands of servers in a minute.

That means they can very quickly develop and roll out new application and it means teams can experiment and innovate much quicker and frequently. If experiment fail, customer can always deprivation those services without risk.

Another strong reason is cost saving. If you look at how people end up moving to the cloud, almost always the conversation start and ends up being a cost. And AWS allow customer to trade capital expenses to variable expenses, basically paying for IT as the customer needed.

And the variable is spends as much lower than what customer can do for themselves because of AWS large economy of scale. Also, AWS has foster innovation in incredible way and it was cloud platform expand almost daily.

Taking more specifically on the breadth of our functionality that exists for Windows workload, I would point out that AWS always offer the latest and greatest version of the cloud. of operation systems, Windows Server and SQL Server.

Also, at the same time, we maintain backward compatibility with the older versions. Customer can use services with licenses included or transfer they own. Also management enhancement are where AWS are headed.

We have run command and it sees rapid adoptions and customer are pushing us to innovate in this area. In case of hybrid cloud solution, we have hundreds of thousand customers that already leverage AWS and hybrid cloud configuration with virtual private cloud and direct connect.
